Safety and forecast disclaimer

WindSage is a planning aid, not a safety authority.

Use judgment before riding

Kiteboarding, kitesurfing, wing foiling, windsurfing, and related water sports involve serious risk. Conditions can change quickly and may differ from model forecasts or nearby observations.

Always verify local conditions, beach rules, marine warnings, storms, tide, water quality, hazards, and launch restrictions before entering the water.

Forecast and observation limits

WindSage may use official and third-party weather, marine, tide, water-quality, and model data. Data may be delayed, stale, unavailable, inaccurate, or not representative of a specific launch.

Missing data does not mean conditions are safe.

Ride Conditions and kite size limits

Ride Conditions, kite-size guidance, session labels, forecast cards, calendar windows, and notifications are planning aids. A favorable direction or a suggested kite size does not guarantee rescue access, launch safety, rider ability, equipment suitability, water quality, or storm clearance.

Offshore wind and wind above your configured limit should be treated conservatively even if other parts of the forecast look attractive.

Premium forecast features

Premium Forecast maps, advanced charts, model comparisons, calendar planning, and forecast notifications provide more context. They do not replace official marine forecasts, local authorities, lifeguards, park rules, or experienced local judgment.

Emergency information

WindSage is not an emergency alerting system. For emergencies, follow official local authorities, marine weather services, lifeguards, park staff, and emergency services.
