WindSage notification availability
Push notifications are not available to external users in the initial WindSage release.
Initial-release status
WindSage includes a separately gated notification architecture for internal certification, but external enrollment and delivery remain disabled. The core weather, forecast, tide, location, and planning product does not require notifications.
Requirements before enablement
Before notification access can be enabled externally, WindSage must approve its numeric retention and backup policy and complete physical APNs registration, delivery, tap, disable, and erasure certification.
If notifications are enabled in a later release, they will remain optional planning aids rather than safety guarantees or emergency alerts.
Your data
Because external notification enrollment is unavailable in the initial release, the public release does not ask users to register an APNs token or create WindSage notification preferences. The Privacy Policy will be updated before that changes.
