WindSage
WindSage brings live wind, kitesurfing wind prediction, Ride Conditions, kite-size guidance, tide context, Historical Wind, Future Forecast previews, forecast maps, and planning tools into one location-first experience for kiteboarders.
WindSage starts with the launch you care about, then turns live wind, spot sectors, tide, your Kite Chart, and near-term forecast context into a clean riding summary.
Read wind direction, session type, kite size, and the safety-prioritized final recommendation in one compact card.
Best, Good, Side Shore, and Offshore direction labels are tied to each launch, not generic compass rules.
Kite guidance resolves wind against the one chart generated from calibration kite size, minimum rideable wind, and overpowered wind.
See the current tide curve, next and previous tide, and historical median high/low context.
The timeline blends observed wind history with future forecast periods, direction, tide, waves, weather rows, and forecast cards.
Data Sources cards explain provider context, source freshness, model names, and required attribution where available.
WindSage is designed for kiteboarding wind forecast, kitesurfing wind prediction, Florida kite spots, gust forecast, tide forecast, and session-planning workflows. Instead of showing a generic weather forecast, WindSage organizes the information riders need at launch: sustained wind, gusts, direction, location-specific sectors, tide, water temperature, kite-size recommendation, forecast model timing, and optional wind alerts.
WindSage location pages and copy target the searches riders use around Miami, South Florida, the Florida Keys, Tampa Bay, the Gulf Coast, and North Florida. Current in-app location names include Crandon, Matheson Hammock, 76th Street, Virginia Key, Stiltsville, Juno / Kite Beach / Access 33, Fort DeSoto, Skyway East, Skyway West, Anne's Beach, Curry Hammock, Tigertail, and more.
The main screen stays fast. The forecast workspace provides model, map, chart, and calendar context where the initial-release feature policy makes it available.
Direction, kite size, session style, and safety-prioritized copy are tuned for the selected launch.
Wind, gust, direction, tide, waves, temperature, precipitation, rain, and kite rows stay aligned by time.
Your Kite Setup, wind bands, map preferences, and location visibility shape the app.
The detailed manual walks through the main dashboard, map overlay, Ride Conditions, tide, forecast timeline, maps, calendar, settings, kite spots, data sources, and safety context.
Notifications are not available to external users in the initial release. WindSage will publish the applicable retention rules and complete physical APNs certification before external enrollment or delivery is enabled.
Notification availabilityThe website includes a screen-by-screen WindSage app manual covering the main view, map overlay, Ride Conditions, Tide, Historical Wind, Future Forecast, forecast planning, Settings, Kite Spots, and Data Sources. Availability notes govern features that remain disabled.
